We found that people had their needs assessed and care plans had been developed. All the people we spoke with were very satisfied with the service they received and we saw they were treated with dignity and respect by the staff.

We found that a range of health and care professionals were involved in meeting people's needs.

We saw that the environment was clean and very well maintained. There were effective systems were in place to ensure people's safety.

We saw that people had the equipment they needed and that effective systems were in place to ensure it was safe to use.

Staff had received appropriate training and support in respect of their job roles.

Records were accessible, stored securely where appropriate and kept up to date.

The two senior support workers who were on duty were very knowledgable about the people they provided support to and could advise us how people could make a complaint or seek an advocate if they required it.

The home was clean, warm and comfortable on the day of our visit although the boiler had broken down in the previous week but this had quickly been repaired and extra heaters were brought in to make sure people were kept warm.
