During a routine inspection
People we spoke with said that they were given choices. A person said, 'We can choose what we would like to eat. The food is very good. I am having sandwiches for lunch today. I prefer to eat in my room.' Another person said, 'Yes there are choices. I like spaghetti; I also like omelette. The staff cook them for us.' This was echoed by another who added, 'We have choices. I like spaghetti. Sometimes we have lunch out."
When asked about activities, a person commented, 'We have activities. We go to the cinema sometimes. I am going bowling tomorrow.' This was echoed by another person who said, 'I go to the gym. Tomorrow we are going bowling and having lunch out.' Another person said, 'I prefer to watch TV. I don't like to go out very much but I do go out to the hairdresser once a week. A member of staff comes with me.'
During this review, we spoke to a relative who commented, 'Staff are very friendly.' Another relative added, 'The care is good and the manager is very helpful. I am also told the food is very good."
