During a routine inspection
Arrangements were in place to ensure that people using the service and their relatives were involved in planning and reviewing their care.
However, a number of people expressed concerns about staffing levels. One person said, 'There isn't the staff like there used to be.' We were told that staffing levels had not been increased when occupancy levels had risen.
Visitors told us they were welcomed into the home at anytime. One visitor said, 'It's first class, you get a brew as soon as you walk in.'
All the people we asked said the meals were good.
There was a rolling programme of training in order to ensure that all members of staff were kept up to date with current practice.
