During a routine inspection
Medicines were safely administered. Leaflets were available explaining the different types of vaccinations available. Medication (vaccines) was stored in the main fridge in the store area. There were smaller fridges in each of the nurses rooms. All the fridges had locks.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. There was an infection control and safe managment of waste policies. The policies covered hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, waste disposal and storage and cleaning.
There were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. The nurses who worked at the clinic were suitability qualified and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
