During a routine inspection
People we spoke with told us they could express their views and were involved in decision making about their care. They told us they felt listened to when discussing their care needs. Staff confirmed with us they also involved relatives where possible to ensure people received the right care and support. Comments we received were positive about the care and support people received. Comments included, "Staff always talk to me about what's going on, such as if I need appointments and when they are.' Also, 'Very helpful, it's really brought me on being cared for here.'
When asked about routines in the home people told us it was relaxed and the staff were always around for them. One person told us, 'Its homely here, busy, I like it.'
We spent time in communal areas of the home throughout the inspection where we witnessed staff talking with people in a respectful manner. We saw staff spent time with people, and spoke to them sensitively and respectfully.
