During a routine inspection
People were involved in care planning and regular reviews. People told us that the service was reliable and flexible in meeting their needs. Their views and choices were respected. People commented that the staff and manager were 'Brilliant', and made them feel safe.
Staff had care plan guidance to reduce known risks and to support people's independence where possible. Good records were kept about daily care and medication. Records of four staff showed thorough recuitment checks. Staff had on-going training for their roles and felt well supported by the manager.
Staff had training to recognise and report a concern of abuse or poor practice to the manager. The manager was worked with other agencies to keep people safe. Complaints and incidents rarely happened but there was evidence of timely and effective response. The manager took action during and after the inspection to address a few minor matters we raised. An analysis of recent surveys showed satisfaction by people who used the service.
