During a routine inspection
We spoke to people, reviewed records and made observations and saw that people received nutritious food and drink to support their needs. People were given choices of menu and specialist dietary needs were catered for. We saw that where necessary people were assisted to eat in a dignified and respecful manner and that meals were well presented.
We saw that people were protected from the risk of harm or abuse by up to date policies and procedures being in place and by staff knowing how and when to use them.
We saw that there was a caring and experienced staff team and that staff were well supported and trained appropriately to carry out their duties.
Quality audits were carried out at regular intervals to ensure the home was kept under review. Records showed us that families and professionals involved in people's care were consulted. Outcomes we reviewed from the last audit were positive.
