During a routine inspection
Plans of care included all aspects of people’s health, social and personal care needs. One person commented, “When s/he was in hospital two care assistants from Frognal Farmhouse took it in turns to stay with her/him- this was an excellent decision and I appreciate it very much”. People were able to take part in activities at home and in the community. People had the opportunity to go on holiday. One person told us, “I went up in a plane. Did some dancing and saw a show”.
Medicines were given to people safely and as intended by their GP. Effective systems were in place to ensure people were protected from harm and that the staff who were recruited were suitable to work with vulnerable people.
The home was clean and improvements had been made to the laundry room to minimise the risk of any infection.
People were positive about the support provided by the staff team. “Frognal Farm seems to me to be a place where kindness and not ‘so common or garden’ humanity are the norm”, one relative commented. A health professional commented, "I cannot praise you all highly enough for your love and care you showed him/her over the past months".
