During a routine inspection
People said that staff were respectful towards them and confirmed their privacy and dignity was respected. One person said, 'staff always knock on my bedroom door, they never just walk in.' Another person said, 'yes, I've been sitting in the garden and no one has bothered me because they know that's what I like to do.'
People confirmed that staff supported them to maintain their independence. One person told us, 'definitely, they help if I need it but I can do most things myself and staff leave me to get on with it, they never rush me to do anything.'
Everyone spoken with was very positive about the staff team. People told us, 'the staff are excellent, I have no complaints' and 'very nice, very thoughtful I am very happy here'.
One person who had recently moved into The Dales told us that they didn't really want to leave their own home and talked about their apprehension at moving into a care home. They said, 'I'm getting use to it now and the staff have been very kind and helpful which has made it easier for me.'
People confirmed that they would feel comfortable raising any concerns they had with the staff team and manager of the home. One person said 'I wouldn't hesitate I would speak to the staff.' Another person said, 'I think the staff would listen to you and put it right.'
