During a routine inspection
We spoke with staff, they were knowledgeable about the safeguarding adults procedure and told us they had read the policy and confirmed the actions they would take if they suspected abuse, They knew who they should report concerns to, this included reporting to the manager on duty, registered manager or the local authority.
People were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. We checked bedrooms and they were found to be clean and tidy. We observed staff thoroughly cleaning people's rooms and areas within the home. Housekeeping staff we spoke with told us they took pride in their job ensuring the home was maintained to a high standard. All communal toilets were found clean and odourless and had anti-bacterial soap and paper towels in place for people wash and dry their hands.
We spoke with eight people living in the home about how staff assisted them and what the care staff were like. Comments included 'I receive good care from the staff' and 'Staff are caring and aware of the support I need' and 'I could not ask for a better home I enjoy all aspects of living here'.
