During a routine inspection
People liked their individual carers and they felt they were being treated with respect. One person commented 'I can't fault the carers'. Other people said 'they're absolutely great' and 'the carers are extremely good'.
People could speak to the office or to one of the carers if they had a concern. The agency's staff received guidance and training which helped to ensure people were safe and their rights were respected.
People mentioned some variation in the carers' abilities. Their comments included '95% are good' and 'some are more efficient than others'. The carers told us they had been given a good induction. They received training in a range of subjects; however this was not being updated regularly. One person who used the service described the standard of training that the carers received as 'more in-house, than college course'.
People were asked to give feedback about the agency and their views were being taken into account. Overall, people received a service that was meeting their needs.
