During an inspection in response to concerns
Due to the complex needs of the people, we visited which included limited or no verbal communication we were unable to gain their views and experiences of the service directly. However, we were able to make general observations of the quality of the service they received. We found that staff demonstrated a good understanding and awareness of people's individual needs. We saw a positive relationship between staff and people who used the service. Staff communicated confidently and competently with people who had more specific communication needs.
We found that people were protected against the risks associated with medicines. There was enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. However we found that care and treatment was not planned and delivered in a way that protected people's safety and welfare
