Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must have effective systems in place to ensure care plans and risk assessments contain consistent up to date guidance for staff to follow, including where service users receive as and required medicines.
The Registered Provider must have effective systems in place to ensure infection control audits are in place to assess and monitor infection control practices.
The Registered Provider must have effective systems in place to ensure safeguarding policies and practices are reviewed to ensure they are in adherence with current legislation and safeguarding concerns are referred to the relevant authority without delay.
The Registered Provider must have effective systems in place to ensure analysis of incidents and accidents takes place to ensure lessons are learned to reduce further risk.
The Registered Provider must:
a) Undertake a review of the training and competencies of the management and staff team; including skills and training relating to safeguarding, infection prevention and control and specific health conditions.
b) Ensure systems are set up to review skills and competency on an ongoing basis, including appropriate competency assessments.
No later than seven days after this condition comes into effect the Registered Provider must send the Care Quality Commission an action plan/ written report confirming this and showing how conditions 1-5 have been completed. After submission of the first action plan/ written report, the Registered Provider must send a monthly report on the first Monday of the month to the Care Quality Commission setting out what fallings you have identified and what action you taken to address those failings. The Registered Provider should also include their training matrix and matrix of staff competencies completed.
