During a routine inspection
The person we spoke with told us the home was clean and the environment was 'excellent', especially for people who were trying to give up addictions. The person confirmed that their consent had been taken verbally and in writing before any therapy had begun. We found the provider had appropriate policies and procedures to ensure consent was taken correctly and adhered to.
The person confirmed the staff had assisted them to interact with the services in the community such as the dentist, colleges and also the social services.
We found that people were cared for by a sufficient number of staff that had been through the appropriate recruitment checks. The person said 'The staff treat me really well'.
There was an effective complaints system available, in case anyone wished to raise a complaint, and records were appropriately maintained. The person we spoke with told us they had no concerns about the about the care provided to their relatives and would speak to the registered manager if they had any concerns. Records were stored in a secure manner and were securely disposed of.
