During an inspection in response to concerns
A relative told us that a copy of the important procedures had been provided including the complaint and safeguarding procedure and although he had never had any concerns or complaints he felt very confident that any concern would be taken seriously and acted upon. This person said, 'I made a good choice in Moorside Hall, I was impressed straight away with the reception. The standard and quality of care is so much better ' staff know what they are doing'.
People living at the home that was spoken with told us that, 'All the staff are very good' and 'The staff are very nice all of them, very kind and everything. Staff will do all sorts of things for you'. The relative spoken with explained that there appeared to be a positive staff team, routines were flexible and staff knew what they were doing'. A member of staff spoke highly of the training provided and stated that training in the home was, 'Promoted pretty well'.
One person living at the home said that he was asked from time to time 'if everything is alright'.
