During a routine inspection
We found that people were supported to make decisions on a daily basis and that the provider worked in line with the Mental Capacity Act (2005) when complex or important decisions needed to be made.
We observed that people were supported to express their views and that there wishes were respected. We looked at minutes from residents meetings and we found that people were supported to maintain and develop their independence in a way that was comfortable for them.
The provider had ensured that systems were in place and were effective in maintaining and monitoring the quality of service.
We saw that there had been one complaint in the last year and found that the person had been supported to make the complaint and that actions taken had been fully explained to ensure they were happy with the outcome.
