At the time of our visit there were plans to change the registration of the service and this would affect the way that the home was run. People told us they had been given the opportunity to be involved in discussions regarding how the changes would affect them.People who used the service told us they were treated with respect and able to make choices and decisions about their daily lives. One person said, "I can come and go as I please".
They told us they were happy with the care and support they received from staff and were treated well. People told us they were aware of the complaints procedure. One person said, "I would speak to the staff if I had a problem; they would sort it out". People told us they were often asked if they were happy with the service they received and would speak up if they were not.
People were happy with the staff team and staff told us they were given the training and support they needed to do their jobs properly.
