The Old Vicarage is a residential care home providing accommodation for individuals with dementia and older people who require personal care for up to 41 people. At the time of our assessment there were 25 People residing at the service. The service was last inspected in June 2023. We announced this assessment due to concerns around risk in the service, we announced this remotely on 10th January 2024 and completed on site visits on 22nd And 30th January. On this assessment we looked at all the quality statements within the 5 key questions. We found that the provider was in breach of numerous regulations, these were safe care and treatment, person-centred care, need for consent, staffing and good governance. During our site visit there was not a registered manager in post, the provider had employed a care consultant to complete the day-to-day managerial tasks. There has been a high turnover of management since our last inspection. Full information about CQC’s regulatory response to the more serious concerns found during inspections is added to reports after any representations and appeals have been concluded.
