During a routine inspection
We saw that people received the support they wanted from staff to develop individual living skills and their independence was promoted. Interactions we observed between staff and people were positive and caring. Staff communicated with people using signs and gestures that people understood.
Care records we viewed were drawn up with people or their relatives and detailed how people wanted their health and social care needs were to be met. The care manager we spoke with told us that staff had a good understanding of people's individual needs and preferences.
Medicines were overall managed appropriately and people received the medicines they were prescribed to make sure they were appropriately supported with their healthcare needs.
The premises were well maintained and provided a homely environment for people to live in.
Staff were appropriately supported to ensure they were sufficiently skilled to care for and support people who used the service.
