During a routine inspection
Viisitors said they were enabled to be involved in the care of their relative if they wished, to assist at mealtimes or carry out activities which the person enjoyed prior to moving into the care home. One person said: 'It isn't home, but it is as good as it can be.' Another person said, 'I come every day and carry on caring like I used to do.'
People said the staff understood their care needs and that they received the care they needed. People said they felt safe and well cared for at the home. One person said. 'I use the buzzer and someone always comes quickly when I use it.' Another person said they liked the way staff helped those less able and was reassured that should their own needs deteriorate then staff would be able to help where necessary. People said that the home was clean and that it was safe for them.
People said the staff were confident and seemed knowledgeable in their roles. One person said, 'staff are kind and very patient with me, they all know what they are doing.' One visitor said, 'you can have a laugh and joke with the staff but I know they take their work seriously, and that makes me feel confident to know they're all there to take care of everyone.
