During a routine inspection
People who lived in this home said that staff had helped them to develop independence skills and supported them to do the things that they liked to do. They said that staff respected their choices and they decided for themselves what they did, what they ate and who they wanted to see.
We saw that the staff communicated well with people who lived in the home, using different methods of communication depending on the preference of the person concerned. People in the home looked relaxed and comfortable with staff.
Relatives of people in the home told us that people were well cared for and supported. One told us 'X seems to be happy and settled. I never have any worries about the staff or problems with the home'. Relatives told us that they felt able to contact staff when necessary and they were kept up to date with what was happening. They felt that their relatives were safe in the home.
