All Inspections

4 October 2013

During a routine inspection

On this inspection we did not speak to people using the service but we reviewed the complaint records and the patient satisfaction survey. There were no outstanding complaints and the survey said that people thought that the care that they had received was good. People were cared for in a safe and appropriate way that met their needs. People's rights were respected and they were provided with information to enable them to give informed consent for treatment. There was sufficient suitably qualified staff to meet patient needs. Standards of hygiene and cleanliness met that prescribed by health and safety laws and national guidance.

During a routine inspection

There were two people using the inpatient services of the hospital on the day of the inspection. We spoke with both of these people who said that they were treated with respect and were very happy with the standard of service that they had received.

We also spoke with members of staff, who had demonstrated a high level of care and respect for people using the service. We inspected records of some outpatients who had attended that day which showed detailed plans of intended further treatment.

We reviewed personnel and training records for staff which showed that all were suitably skilled and qualified and that there was a high level of continuous training.

20 October 2011

During a routine inspection

On this occasion, we did not ask people using the service to comment on this outcome. However it is reported in the patient satisfaction survey that people's privacy and dignity were respected and they felt that they were given sufficient information about the hospital and the procedure they are to undergo before any procedure was carried out on them.
