During a routine inspection
People using the service were complimentary about the care and service provided. One person described how they were 'very happy' and that 'the food is lovely'. Another person described a 'committed staff team.' Relatives described 'a friendly home with a lovely ambience' and commented that they 'were made to feel welcome.' Staff were described a 'lovely', and one relative commented that 'they are like family.'
People using the service described how they were involved in their care and the running of the home. One person using the service said 'the manager has a really good plan, and standards are high.'
Staff were supported to attend training, and had regular supervision and appraisals. Staff said they were supported by management and that the manager had 'very high standards'. Staff confirmed that they had enough people on duty to meet people's needs. People using the service described how staffing levels had improved.
The home had systems in place to ensure that the storage and administration of medication was safe.
The provider sought feedback from people and valued people's opionions. One person using the service described how suggestions that they had made had been listened to and acted upon. A relative commented 'they are responsive if I raise anything. I couldn't wish for more really.'
