During a routine inspection
We looked at the records of the four people who used the service. We found that detailed information had been sought from each person; this was then used to develop individual person centred care guidelines.
The provider had safeguarding policies in place and staff had undergone recent safeguarding training. This ensured staff could recognise what could be classed as abusive behaviour and knew what actions to take if abuse was suspected.
We found that arrangements were in place for the safe management, storage and dispensing of medication. Staff had received training so people's safety was protected. Which ensured people's health and welfare was maintained and that people were protected from harm.
We found that staff were supported in training and supervision to deliver safe and effective care.
We reviewed the records that were stored in the service. The provider has a record keeping policy. We saw that records for each person were updated throughout the day. Staff records were secured in a locked cabinet and information that was stored electronically was password protected.
