During a routine inspection
We found that people had been involved in decisions about how they were supported and understood, some with the help of relatives, the support that was available. Each person's care plan was focused on helping people achieve as much independence as possible. Staff supported people with stimulating and meaningful activities in the home and in the community. The service had its own minibus to take people on day trips to places they wanted to visit.
We found from looking at training records that the provider had ensured that staff had received relevant training to be able to support the people who used the service. A care worker we spoke with told us, "The training has given me an insight. It has helped me understand the people I support."
We identified weaknesses in the management of medicines which the provider had also recently identified and was addressing.
