Beachview is a 'care home' that provides care and support to people with a learning disability and autistic people. Some people living at Beachview also live with complex physical disability. People in care homes receive accommodation and nursing or personal care as a single package under one contractual agreement. The service accommodates up to 10 people in one adapted building. During our assessment 8 people were living at the home. We carried out an on site assessment which included 2 site visit days on 22 and 29 February and off site information gathering. Activity started on 22 February 2024 and ended on 12 March 2024. We looked at 5 key questions and 23 quality statements. At our last inspection the service was rated inadequate. Following this assessment, considerable improvements have been made. Risks to people are now effectively managed. Accidents and incidents are recorded and investigated meaning people are now safe. Staff are recruited more safely and the general governance of the home has improved. As a result, the service is now rated good overall.
