Signet healthcare is a domiciliary care agency. It provides personal care to people living in their own houses and flats. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our assessment, 12 people were using the service, including adults and children. The service is also registered to provide supported living. However, this part of the service was not operating at the time of our assessment. The date of assessment was from 2 October 2024 to 8 October 2024. We visited the agency's offices on 8 October 2024. We carried out this assessment to follow up on breaches of Regulations identified at the last inspection (published 15 February 2023). At the last inspection, we identified breaches relating to need for consent, safe care and treatment, good governance and fit and proper persons employed. At this assessment, we found the provider had made the necessary improvements and was no longer breaching any Regulations. The provider had effective systems for supporting people to stay safe, managing risks and monitoring the quality of the service. Staff were well trained and felt supported. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. The service was meeting the principles of Right support, right care, right culture.
