During a routine inspection
Two staff we spoke with raised the issue of having sufficient staff to be able to support people with their chosen activity. Staff were also aware of the negative impact of the lack of activity on people's behaviour. Both staff agreed that there were enough staff to meet people's every day needs.
We were told that the home was to move to new premises in the next two months. The home was reasonably maintained however some areas were in need of attention. The home had recently appointed a maintenance person to continue to make improvements in the interim period before the move.
The manager told us about how their management responsibilities had changed and how they were now able to focus on the home. They expressed a commitment to moving the home forward. Quality of the service was assessed through provider monitoring visits.
