During a routine inspection
People's opinions of care ranged from wonderful to OK with some concerns.
Relatives said they generally had confidence in the staff. People told us that 'care workers seemed to know what they were doing' and 'absolutely first class, kind, caring and very accommodating'.
People who use services said they felt they had no choice about the time they got up and went to bed. Some people said 'they do their best' and 'there's a lot of waiting around, especially at meal times'.
They told us 'there's no point in complaining, as nothing changes. It gets better initially but then falls again'. Some people said they had no complaints and felt they were treated well by the staff that did their best to meet their needs.
Some people said the environment was stimulating, and the home was always clean and tidy, others thought the home would benefit from a fresh coat of paint and some refurbishment was needed.
