During a routine inspection
Care records were person centred and included information important to people, such as how they liked to be supported. People told us that care staff listened to them and they felt involved in their care and support.
Care plans were reviewed monthly and daily records we viewed confirmed that staff provided people with care and support as described in their care plans.
The agency had systems in place which ensured that medications were administered and stored safely in people’s homes. We saw from records that staff encouraged people to be as independent as possible in this area.
We found that the staff were supported effectively by the management of the service. Staff told us they received regular supervision meetings and training appropriate to their role.
We saw that staff were provided with specific training to meet the individual needs of people living at the service. For example staff had received training in supporting people with a Learning disability.
We found there were effective systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided.
