We also examined records, spoke with the manager and five other staff, and observed staff supporting people in communal areas.
People's privacy, dignity and independence were respected. Their views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their care. We saw that people were supported to make choices about their care and that staff respected their preferences.
People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. We saw that people were involved in a range of activities and had frequent opportunities for outside activities.
People using the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
People were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and manage the quality of the service and risks to people's health, safety and welfare.
