During a routine inspection
'The girls really are lovely'.
'They are very helpful'.
'They understand me and we can have a laugh'.
People who used the service each had a care plan in place, which provided staff with information about the level and type of support people needed. Care plans also included risk assessments that detailed any identified risk and provided the staff with guidance and information as to the most appropriate way to minimise these risks. We saw evidence that, whenever possible, before people received any care they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes.
Since our last visit, improvements had been made to provide opportunities for people who used the service, and their representatives, to give feedback on the standard of care and treatment provided at LCC Middleton Court. However, improvements were required to ensure the safe management of medicines at LCC Middleton Court.
