During a routine inspection
We spoke with five people who used the service. We contacted 16 relatives of other people who used the service and spoke with nine of them. Everyone we spoke with was complimentary about the service.
People who used the service and relatives told us that they had seen their care plans.People were satisfied that care workers carried out the care routines that had been agreed. One person who used the service told us, "I'm satisfied. I have good relations with the carers. They do the routines they are supposed to do." A relative told us, "I'm very impressed with the carers. They are very professional. They definitely complete the care routines."
People told us that care workers usually arrived at times they expected. They told us that care workers usually contacted them if they were running late. People told us that Mears had arranged for a regular team of care workers to visit them, and that was important to them.
The provider had a comprehensive recruitment and training programme for care workers.
The provider continually monitored and assessed the quality of care being provided. People's views and feedback had been sought and acted on.
