Date of Assessment: 15 January to 24 January 2025. Nurture Care Services provides care and support to people living in a supported living setting, so that they can live as independently as possible. The service can support older people, people who had mental health support needs and people with physical disabilities. At the time of our inspection 1 person was being supported with personal care. During our assessment we spoke with the registered manager of the service and the nominated individual, who supported the registered manager to oversee the service. Risks to the person were assessed and mitigated. The provider had enough staff to ensure the person's safety and meet their needs. The person was supported to have choice and control and were involved in planning their care. They were protected from the risk of harm and abuse. Care plans provided advice and information on how to keep the person safe. Medicines were managed safely. Processes to record and review accidents and incidents were in place to learn lessons and prevent their re-occurrence. There were systems for considering people's capacity to make specific decisions and to provide personalised care. However, these capacity assessments were not always recorded correctly and the management team told us they would take action to improve this. There were systems in place to monitor the service and to drive continuous improvements. Staff received training and support to develop in their roles. Staff understood how to protect people’s privacy and dignity and support their equality and diversity needs. Leaders in the service were knowledgeable and supportive of staff and shared a positive vision and culture.
