During a routine inspection
People told us they were happy living in the home, they liked their bedrooms, the food was good, they chose what to eat, had their health needs met, and had the opportunity to participate in a range of activities of their choice.
People told us that they received the care and support they needed in the way that they wanted, staff listened to them, and were approachable.
People told us they felt safe living in the home and knew who to talk to if they had any worries or concerns. We saw signs of 'well being'. During our visit people using the service were seen to be relaxed, and often smiling and laughing.
Comments from people included; 'I get help from staff', 'It was my birthday, I had a party', 'I am happy', the 'staff are nice, they help me',' It's nice here', 'staff are very good', 'I can talk to staff', 'I like my bedroom, I have lots of things', and 'the food is good',
A relative of a person using the service told us they were very satisfied with the service provided by 2 Lindsay Drive. They told us they were kept informed about the progress of the person, felt involved in their care, were confident the staff knew the person's needs and ensured they were safe.
During our visit we saw people move freely within the home spending time in the communal rooms, and their bedrooms.
Staff spoke of enjoying their job supporting and caring for people at 2 Lindsay Drive. They confirmed there was good teamwork, and felt well supported.
