We carried out an inspection on the 1 February 2013. The purpose of this inspection was to follow up areas of non compliance identified at the last inspection. The provider sent us an action plan on the 22 August 2012. They told us what actions they had taken and said they were fully compliant with regulations.During this inspection we found that although some improvements had been made there were still concerns relating to the training of staff in the safe administration of medication and we also identified errors on the medication records. We therefore could not be assured staff were sufficiently competent to administer medication.
Staff were appropriately supported with their professional development. However we identified gaps in training records. We could not be assured that training was updated at regular intervals or delivered by people who were competent to deliver it.
We identified non compliance with record keeping both in terms of the accuracy of records and the security and confidentiality of records.
