During a routine inspection
While at Corbett House we saw that staff were being courteous and respectful towards people who used the service. Care workers spoke about how they upheld people’s privacy and dignity and this was seen to happen during our inspection.
Care plans, risk assessments and other records were in place to give staff guidance and direction about the level of care required to meet individual needs. Comments included, “I feel a lot better since I came in here” and “The attention is very good I would recommend it”.
Systems were in place to ensure the safe management of medication. It was not always possible for us to audit the medication held because of the way records were maintained.
We were assured that sufficient staff were on duty at all times in order to meet the needs of people who used the service.
Any complaints received by the registered manager were investigated and resolved.
