During a routine inspection
Due to their verbal communication difficulties, the two other people who we spoke with were enjoying taking part in social activities, including listening to music whilst sitting outside in the sunshine.
All of the people we spoke with told us that they liked their rooms and said they felt, "safe" due to the security of the premises.
We used a number of different methods to help us understand the experiences of people using the service, because some of the people using the service had complex needs which meant they were not able to tell us their experiences. We spoke with a member of the local authority who told us that, in their view, the people living at Lavender House Care Home were receiving a good standard of care and there were no concerns about the standard of the service provided.
