During an assessment under our new approach

We carried out this announced on-site assessment on 17 January 2025. We found the practice had met regulations. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place. The practice had systems to manage risks. The Centre is known as West London Orthodontist Cosmetic Dental Studios. The practice is in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and provides private dental care and orthodontic treatment for adults and children. There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice. The practice had 2 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with the principal orthodontist, 1 dental nurse, and the compliance consultant.

During an inspection looking at part of the service

We carried out a responsive inspection at The Centre on 30 April 2015 in response to whistleblowing concerns we received about the cleanliness of the premises and the arrangements for protecting patients against risks of unsafe or inappropriate premises.

During our inspection we spoke with staff, including the registered manager, practice manager and dental nurse.

We reviewed a number of documents including risk assessments and we inspected the premises, including storage areas, the surgical room and the recovery room.

We did not speak with patients during our inspection.

We found that the practice had taken all reasonable steps to deal with the issues and to ensure that the practice was clean and suitable to treat and care for patients safely.
