During a routine inspection
We observed care workers speaking to people politely and in a calm and friendly manner. We observed people during lunch and saw care workers wearing suitable protective clothing such as aprons and gloves before serving food. People were asked before being assisted to eat. Choices were offered by the care workers and people were able to chat and take their time.
Care was delivered which reflected people's individual needs and preferences. Care plans were regularly updated and we saw evidence of a six monthly care review involving the person and their family.
We saw that the home was clean and tidy and there were adequate procedures in place for infection control and cleanliness.
We saw there were policies and procedures in place for dealing with for complaints and concerns The manager told us that people were given a satisfaction questionnaire to complete at their 6 month review.
