During a routine inspection
One person told us that they were happy living at the home and that the staff supported them to do lots of activities. Another person told us that they had recently visited the zoo and they had enjoyed the day out.
During the Inspection visit we observed that all the staff interacted with people living at the home in a calm and confident manner and this helped to reduce people’s challenging behaviours. We also found that the staff encouraged people to be respectful to each other and this also helped to reduce people’s challenging behaviours.
We found that people living at St. Georges were well cared for and they received their medication in a safe way. We also found that the staff working at the home had robust recruitment checks carried out by the provider to ensure the safety of people living at the home and there were sufficient numbers of staff on duty.
We also saw that there were safeguarding procedures in place to ensure that people living at the home were protected from the risk of abuse.
