Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care in a specialist service to people whose presenting need for care or support is as a direct result of the person’s learning disability and or autism at or from Houndswood House Care Home.
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 50 service users at Houndswood House Care Home.
A. By 16 April 2025, the registered provider must instruct a suitably qualified, skilled and competent professional, who will be a qualified pharmacist, to oversee medicines management at Houndswood House Care Home which will include developing robust systems and processes and monthly audits for the registered provider. The registered provider will provide a copy of each monthly audit to the Care Quality Commission within 3 days of receipt of the audit.
B. The registered person must not admit any service users to Houndswood House Care Home without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes service users requiring respite, short-term or emergency admissions and any readmissions from hospitals or treatment centres of service users who have previously resided at Houndswood House.
