During a routine inspection
We observed positive interactions between staff and people using the service. Some comments included, 'It's fine, very good. I was given information', 'the new dentist is excellent' and 'It's a good practice. I can't find any fault.'
People we spoke with told us that they felt their privacy and dignity was respected.
We found that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that ensured people's safety and welfare.
When we spoke with people they confirmed that they had been involved in the treatment they received. Some comments included, 'I was told about the costs and the options I had' and 'they do what is suitable for me and he (dentist) explains what he is going to do.'
We found the practice to be clean and in good condition. When we spoke with people using the service one comment included: 'It's lovely and clean. Everything is spotless.'
We asked people for their views about the staff and their skills. People were positive about the staff and their abilities. Some comments included, 'Staff are always polite and professional', 'staff are very pleasant' and 'all the staff are very caring. If I had any questions they would help.'
We found that the practice had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
