During a routine inspection
On the day of this inspection there were no patients attending for appointments so we spoke to three people over the telephone. People were complimentary about the service they received. Some of the comments we received were: 'He is the best dentist, he is brilliant,' 'This is an absolutely spot on service,' 'I feel very and calm and comfortable with this dentist' and 'I always feel in control of what is happening to me.'
We were told that treatment options were discussed with people and that included the price of treatments.
We were told that people had their privacy and dignity respected. One person gave us two very specific examples of when their privacy and dignity was respected.
We looked at the cleanliness of the practice and the safety processes that they had in place to protect the health of their patients. People told us that the dental practice was well presented and that the surgery was always clean and tidy when they attended.
We looked at their complaints procedure and found that it was clear and was available for people to access.
We saw they had an effective recruitment and selection procedure in place.
