Kindness, compassion and dignity
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity and showed compassion. One patient told us that they travelled from London to visit this dental practice. Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Patients commented “Lovely family practice, friendly staff & skilled dentists” and “Myself and my children have been attending for a few years and have always found the staff very friendly and approachable, making myself and my children feel at ease”. Patients felt they were treated as individuals and their personal and cultural needs were respected. We were provided with a copy of the most recent Friends and Family Test results which showed positive feedback. Patients were asked; Overall, how was your experience of our service? Out of the 154 patients who completed this survey in October, November and December, 135 patients responded very good, 18 good and 1 poor. We were told that wherever possible the practice manager responded to reviews, including online reviews if issues were raised.
Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.
