During a routine inspection
Patients we spoke with told us they were given information about different treatment options and the fees involved. We viewed seven patient records and found these contained appropriate information regarding previous examinations and treatments. We saw evidence that patient's medical history was checked at each visit. This ensured that dentists were aware of patient's medical conditions that could be affected by dental treatments.
The practice was clean, hygienic and had effective systems in place to reduce the risk of healthcare associated infection. The practice had hygiene and infection control guidance which was routinely followed by staff.
Staff told us they felt supported by management. We saw staff were appraised annually. Staff undertook a range of training so they had up to date knowledge and skills to deliver effective care and treatment safely.
Patients we spoke with were happy with the care provided and had no complaints. The practice's complaints procedure was clearly displayed on the reception desk.
