During a routine inspection
A relative of one person we spoke with told us that staff completed a daily record when they undertook their visit. The record showed how they had completed their visit and communicated any information needed between staff. The relative told us, 'They (staff) are always on time. If they are going to be a bit late they always let us know. They never let you down.'
People were involved in planning the way staff supported and cared for them. One person said, 'They plan things with me. I like gardening and they (staff) have helped me to be a volunteer at a garden centre.'
The people we spoke with talked positively about the staff that supported them. They told us they felt confident that the staff had the right skills and experience and that they were honest and trustworthy.
We found that staff had the right amount of training and supervision to enable them to do their job safely. We also found they were given, and encouraged to give regular feedback to the management team on how well the organisation was doing.
People felt confident taking any suggestions or concerns to the manager or any of the staff team. One person told us, 'I speak to the manager if I have any issues. My care is running exactly as I want it.'
