We spoke to patients who used the service, some of whom had been with one of the dentists for over 20 years. One person told us their dentist 'really put themselves out' and was extremely patient with their relative who had a fear of dentists. Another said 'they are brilliant; they always fit you in if there is an emergency'. We found all staff had received training in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. We asked a patient if they felt safe when they used the service and they said 'absolutely'.
Patients we spoke to said the service was 'always spotless' the cleanliness was 'immaculate' and the nurses 'always have gloves on when they're doing anything'. During our visit we found all areas were clean and tidy.
We found the safety, health and welfare of people who used the service was compromised because the provider had not followed effective recruitment and selection practices.
People who used the service were asked for their views about their care and treatment and they were acted upon. Patients we spoke said they had not had any cause to complain and they were 'as happy as Larry' there.
