During a routine inspection
We were told, "The agency is very good and the staff promote my relative's independence" and "I could not have had a better experience." One relative told us, "The carer is on time and lets us know if there are any problems. I have no complaints."
We spoke with the assistant manager and the one member of care staff who was working when we visited. The assistant manager explained the process of assessing people's needs before a service was offered so that people could be confident the service was suitable for them. We saw that people had a care plan which reflected their needs as assessed before their service commenced. We saw that care plans and care records had been reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they remained relevant to people's current needs.
The care staff we spoke with told us she had sufficient written information about people to meet their needs. We were told, "Each person has a care plan and assessments which describe how care should be offered. People keep a copy in their homes." A relative told us, "The care plan is reviewed by the manager and I am informed of any changes."
We saw records were stored securely to protect confidential information.
