During a routine inspection
We spoke with people in private at the practice address. Everyone we spoke with said that they were treated with respect. They said they signed to say they agreed with the treatment and that they had their treatment options explained to them. People told us they were supported to make decisions and choices regarding their care and treatment. One person said 'I have been with my dentist for a very long time. I have a very trusting relationship with him.' Another told us 'I recommended my dentist to a friend. He too is more than happy with the care and treatment he receives here.'
People told us they did not have to wait too long for appointments and that they were always welcomed in a friendly manner. 'They (the staff) know me really well.'
People commented that they thought the surgery and practice building were clean. One person said 'It is always very clean.'
We spoke with three of the five dental nurses and they told us they were well supported to ensure they were up to date in their clinical practice.
People told us that they would speak to the dentist or the practice manager if they needed to complain. One person commented 'I owe it to my dentist to speak to him personally, if I ever needed to.'
